Memories of our times shared begin over twenty some years ago. Over those years we shared many happy times together as close neighbors and friends. As the years went by, we met you Eva. What a beautiful, intelligent woman you were. We both had daughters similar in age. I remember days visiting with your Mother and Father and hearing about Caitlin and what a fine young girl you had raised. Your Father was so proud of Caitlin when she received the scholarship from the Rotarians. This was only one of the many accomplishments to come over the years that made your parents so proud of you, George, and your daughter Caitlin. The same year and only a month apart, each of us lost a parent. It was the beginning of 2005 on January 23rd that I lost my Father and nearly a month later the loss of your Mother. It has been hard for both of us to loose a parent. Time has taken some of our sorrow away but as with everyone, it really never goes away. As for Bela, George and Caitlin, it seems so unfair for them to loose the two most loving, caring, and sweet beyond words women in their lives in such a short time. I will never forget our times together walking, laughing, crying, and sharing so many similar stories, as if we had been sisters in a previous life. The day you and your momma were walking down the street when you had just found out that she had a tumor. We stood there holding each other in tears and not knowing what the future was to be. The afternoons shared over a cup of tea or the visits to Battle Point Park. The times when our families had birthdays and parties. I want to thank you Eva for all the encouragement over the years before Hyla and the years during and after. I appreciate all the years spent with you. Working with George was the best. You were a special couple with a very special daughter. You will always have a place in our hearts and especially mine. We hope Bela, George and Caitlin know we will always have an open door for them in our home. We love you all, Shelley, Mike, Anna, and Elaine |

My deepest condolences for the loss of such a sweet and loving person. She was assigned to me as my big sister when I first arrived to St Joseph´s Academy from a foreign country. She was always kind, patient and sweet to me even though we shared the dorm for a very short period of time. I regret not having the opportunity to be in contact with her after graduation but I always remember her as a very beautiful and lovable person. Guille (Willie) Acapulco, Mexico. |

My deepest condolences to Eva's family. I feel blessed that Eva reached out to reconnect with me a year and a half ago--although we were good friends at St. Joseph's Academy we had not spoken for more than 40 years. But time disappeared when I heard her familiar giggle. What an extraordinary person, and what a beautiful life. Her gentle, loving presence and her strength, courage and good spirits in the face of illness moved me very deeply. I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to know her again. I am so very sorry for your tremendous loss.

I remember Eva very well from St Joseph's Academy. She really did have a wonderful smile, & an equally wonderful sense of humor. My condolences to her family -- it's very hard to lose someone as beautiful (inside & out) as Eva.

MY heart is so heavy and you are all in my thoughts and prayers. Eva was such and amazing person and such a joy to work along side with on many BPA children's theatre and BHS productions. My boys adored her and we always loved being around her. We send good thoughts and happy memories to the family. Love, Marie-Elena, Ricky, Michael and John-Paul Baker |
