Go well, Stephen. You did it all so well - as I thought then, and confirmed by the stories since.

Still have the Blockade picture on my wall, with you front and center!

Cheers to all your family, Susan Sunflower

Noyuri and Soderland clan,
We pray for healing and comfort in your time of great loss.
I will miss cousin Stephen. We met in high school and served together on a summer church ministry with migrant workers. After working the field with Stephen in 1966, the Mexican and native Indian workers said Stephen and I were cousins. We were very impressed when we attended a sermon that Stephen gave at his church. We prayed for his healing and admired how he continued to serve the church despite his frail body. We were blessed to know Stephen; he is the embodiment of finding the true meaning of life and lived life with dignity and full of grace.

I remain so grateful to Stephen and Noryuri for their kind, helpful coaching when I was first diagnosed with prostate cancer some years back. My friend and your pastor, Rev. Dee Eisenhauer first put me in touch with both of you. My deepest condolences to all Stephen's loved ones.

Noyuri,
We are so saddened to hear of Stephen's passing. You are both such vibrant and valued members of our Bainbridge community and he will be greatly missed. When we used to live down the street from you, I remember fondly him walking to and from the bus stop. He always gave a friendly wave to the boys and I as we waited for the school bus. He was always genuinely interested to hear what was new with us. At mochi tuski, he faithfully worked beside you, smiling to all. I admire your love for each other and for others. Our thoughts and prayers are with you as you enter this next stage in your life. Take care of yourself and reach out to others as others have always reached out to you.
Much love,
Debra and Geoff
