Dear JoAnn and Family,
I just heard of your loss today and my heart goes out to you. JoAnn, you know I understand (no one really ever understands exactly) how you are feeling, having been there a few years ago myself.
It is always a shock when we hear of someone like Don that we all saw at our high school reunion just 6 months ago, looking as handsome as ever and still the wonderful man that he was growing up.
You are blessed to have had such a long, wonderful marriage and family. Sometimes this just makes it harder because we miss our guys so.
Your gal friends on the other side of the water are here for you. We will have a get together a few months from now when things have settled down.

Don and my paths crossed many times since we both worked at PSE for over 40 years. Over the years he was always ready to help "train" me on what was really happening outside the Corporate Office. We often compared notes on who had the best grandkids!! I would like to think those comparisons always ended in a tie!! He was always a good friend to me and a great asset to PSE. I have been out of the Country the last several weeks and just found out about Don. My thoughts and prayers are with all of his family.

You could not ask for a better guy to work with, or laugh with, or fish with, or swap Mexico travel stories with, or to simply know. I was priveleged to have done those things with Don and to call him my friend. JoAnn and family I hope you can take some comfort in knowing the respect and love that Don generated in this world. I will miss him.

I'm sorry for your family's lost. I didn't know him well, Only met him a couple of times when I was growning up in Poulsbo. But he was a likable person who left an impression when you met him.

Dear JoAnn and family,
We are so so sorry to read of Don's death. That old cancer doesn't waste any time. Your lives and ours have paralled one anothers in so many ways, that it is a wonder that we haven't been closer friends. I think that our friendship goes deep to the heart. We have lived here in Poulsbo for about the same amount of time,we are the same ages and have been married for that same amount of time, not to mention the children and their similarities. All those times in the bleachers at North and Soccor fields. Family has truly been our main objectives in our lives and your family will be of great comfort to you,as well as this new little baby yet to come. We send our love and deepest sympathy.

I worked with Don in the Poulsbo Service Center from 1990-1996. What a great guy... always put a smile on my face. He will be missed! I feel blessed to have known and worked with such a great man. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Joanne & family,
I remember being a new System Operator at Puget Power and traveling around Poulsbo area with Don. He taught me alot about the area & the power system there. Not to mention the friendly voice that was always on the other end of the radio.
The servicemen are our eyes & ears out there & he was one of the Best! He will be forever missed. My heart goes out to you and your family during this very hard time.

Dear JoAnn,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time. Dan first met Don at the Poulsbo Lumber Yard in the seventies when he worked there and Don used to come in to pick up a few things. And I was fortunate to meet you and Don during Sean and Taylor's baseball years. We both knew at those times what truly wonderful people we had met and would get to know. It is hard to put down on paper in a few words what a great man the world has lost, but we know heaven will be an even better place with Don in it.

Dear JoAnn and Family: You have been in our thoughts and prayers since we heard Don was sick. We are so glad that you two attended Kathy and Fred's Bocce party last fall.
