I did not know Carl very well, but he was an important part of the Seabold community and an interesting character who always had something friendly to say or would simply provide a friendly greeting. I remember him doing his rounds on his small scooter (without a helmet and he still lived into his 80's!)and sometimes bicycle.
I am told by old seabold resident Elmer that he was in the merchant marine for a while and also perhaps worked at the shipyard. I am sorry that i know so little of his life. His passing was a surprise to many local residents.

While I did not work directly with Carl, I do wish to extend my sincerest sorrow for the family, and especially his wife. I can't imagine losing your best friend and all the years and memories you share.
Thank you for all the years you sacrificed time away from Carl, as I know he spent many hours away from family helping other families stay warm and comfortable.
May God bless you and keep you in His peace.
