Charles Densmore Frame, “Charlie”, joined his heavenly father on March 21, 2018. After battling cancer for more than two decades, he passed away at Harrison Hospital in Bremerton with his family by his side. He was 77 years of age.

Charlie was born to Maxwell and Phoebe (Densmore) Frame on August 1st, 1940 in Detroit, Michigan. He graduated from Cody High School in 1959. Charlie had three children from his first marriage. He began his working career as a butcher and then worked at Baker Commodities Inc. from 1976-1999, retiring from his position as Northwest Area Manager. In 1997 Charlie was named Business Leader of the Year Tukwila as manager of Baker Commodities.

On September 3, 1987, Charlie married the love of his life, Carolyn Gayle (Barnett) Wolf. During their 28 years of marriage, they enjoyed their family first and foremost, followed by shared passions for boating, traveling, cruising, camping, entertaining, and supporting the underserved in their community. Charlie pursued his lifelong passion for aviation, by earning his pilot license. He loved flying his Piper Cherokee back to Oshkosh, WI. for the airshow. Charlie was a contributing member of the (E.A.A.) Experimental Aircraft Association in Oshkosh.

After retirement, Charlie devoted his time to helping his community by serving on Bainbridge Rotary, Chamber of Commerce, Bainbridge Island Boys and Girls Club Board of Directors. In 2003, Charlie and Carolyn were named Bainbridge Island Business Couple of the year. Charlie was an active member of New Life Church on Bainbridge Island. He had devoted his life to serving the Lord by helping others.

Together they built CFA Northwest Mortgage Professionals to a thriving business and together they endured the mortgage industry crash in 2008. Their loving family stood by them during the mortgage crisis and during both Carolyn and Charlie’s battle with cancer.

“They say there is a reason, they say that time will heal, But neither time nor reason will change the way I feel, for no one knows the heartache that lies behind our smiles, no one knows how many times we’ve broken down and cried, we want to tell you something so there won’t be any doubt, you are so wonderful to think of, but so hard to be without”
