There is... a difference!

Dolph F. Jaeger, passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at The Foss Adult Care Home in Seattle, Washington. He was born on April 18, 1925 and was 92 years of age.

Dolph was a resident of Bainbridge Island, Washington for over 30 years. He shoveled coal on the Great Lakes during his summers while in high school and later joined the Navy at age 17. He retired as a Lieutenant Commander, and also worked as a real estate agent and broker.

Dolph was a member of the Association of Naval Aviation-Olympic Squadron, Poulsbo/North Kitsap Rotary Club, Martha and Mary where he enjoyed driving a van for senior citizens, Sons of Norway, Eastern Star, 32nd Degree, a Shriner and Scottish Rite. He was also a member of the Port Townsend Aero Museum and enjoyed collecting vintage model planes.

Above all else, Dolph loved his wife Rosie and family, and his golden retrievers, Parade and Angel.

He is survived by his wife Rosemary Jaeger of Seattle, WA, daughter Susan Baylor (John) of Keizer, Oregon, step-daughter Judy (Robert) Shore of Seattle, WA, step-son Michael Reha of Marysville, WA, grandchildren: Emily and Evan Pickett, great-granddaughters Aria and Cadi Pickett and nieces Ann (Bill) Steiner of Southlake, Texas and Nancy Jaeger of Huntington Beach, California. He also leaves behind friends John Paine, Tommy Thompson, Leo Vasaitis, Marti Vandagriff and Cy and Kathy Butler. Dolph was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Frances Anderson Jaeger.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Memorial Service on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Port Madison Lutheran Church on Bainbridge Island, WA. Refreshments will follow in the church hall. Memorial contributions can be made to Port Townsend Aero Museum in Port Townsend, WA or Fishline in Poulsbo, WA.
