Allen D. Rapada

Allen D. Rapada "Indian Al" passed away at the Puget Sound VA Hospital in Seattle at 5pm on September 26, 2019 at the age of 75.

Allen was born in Seattle, WA on July 21, 1944, the son of the late Mary Louise (James) and Honorato Rapada.

Allen graduated from Bainbridge High School in 1961. He joined the army and was an x-ray technician and later worked at a hospital in Seattle. He worked at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard as a ship fitter, shop 11 and then transferred to Long Beach Naval Shipyard. He retired as code 300 zone manager. After retiring he was a custodian at Ordway Elementary School. In 2005, Allen left Ordway School and moved to Tucson, Arizona so he could spend time with his grandchildren.

Allen enjoyed leather craft, bingo, collecting belt buckles and caps, the Seahawks, and native culture.

In addition to his parents, Allen was also preceded in death by his Siblings-Sonny Rapada, Daniel Rapada, and Penny Miguel and his loving daughter Melanie Rapada.

Allen is survived by his loving wife Diane of 43 years, whom he married in San Pedro, CA in August of 1976. In addition, Allen is lovingly remembered by his Children: Allen Rapada, North Vancouver, Donalene Rapada, Vancouver, Toni D. Garcia, Lakewood, CA.,Ronnie Walker, Mt. Vernon, Ohio,
Ralphy Delacruz, Italy, Maria Vindas, San Pedro, CA., Bobby Magallanes, Tucson, AZ., Andrew Rapada, Tucson, AZ.
His Grandchildren: Claire, Kamea, Richard, Aerielle, Christina, Daniel, Stephanie, Kimberly, Luke, Edwin, Jessika, Bobby, Jacob, Realene, Emily, Robert, Michael, Paige, and Harmony.
His Great grandchildren: Gavin, Cassie, Matthew, Nathen, Andrew, Manny, Juhan, Noah, Daniel, Darla, Nixon, Mia, Sofia, Brayanna, Eilana,
and Kayden.
Numerous nieces and nephews also survive him.

The celebration of life will be held on Tuesday October 1, 2019 at 11 am at the Filipino Hall 7566 High School Road, Bainbridge Island, WA 98110.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Diane Rapada.
