Daisy L. Quintua

passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 10, 2009 at Martha and Mary Health Care Services in Poulsbo, Washington. She was born on July 25, 1928 in Nanaimo, B.C. and was 81 years of age. Daisy is survived by her beloved daughter Darlene Quintua of Bainbridge Island, WA, her very special niece Kay Froude of Nanaimo, B.C., nephew and niece Dave Bodaly and Lillian Glass of Nanaimo, B.C., cousin, Max Settler of Nanaimo, B.C., son of her late Aunt Margaret James.Her eldest sister,Clara Reid of Bakersfield, California and numerous relatives throughout Vancouver Island, B.C. and the United States. Although Daisy was not able to see all the family and friends in the community who would have wanted to visit with her, she said; "I know in my heart of your expressions of concern and love and will always remember the kindness shown to me throughout the many years." It was her wish to be cremated and her ashes will be buried with her late husband, Segundo Arce Quintua at Kane Cemetery on Bainbridge Island. Private graveside services will be held.
