Joseph Matthew Araneda

Joseph Matthew Araneda a lifelong resident of Bainbridge Island passed away Sunday October 28, 2018. Born on Bainbridge Island October 27, 1966 he was the son of the late Fredrick Miguel and Seraphine "Mindy" Araneda and was 52 years of age.

Joe attended elementary school on Bainbridge Island after which he attended North Kitsap High School graduating with the Class of 1984. Joe worked for many years as a handyman all over Bainbridge Island. He also enjoyed walking all over the Island.

Joe was truly a local in every sense of the word and he loved the Island where he was born and lived his entire life. He was a gentle soul who enjoyed talking to anyone who was willing and he will be sadly missed by all who knew him.


Joe is survived by his loving brothers and sisters; Robert Dale Phillips, Charlotte Araneda Cates and her husband Brian, Frederick M. Araneda, Jr., Peter A. Araneda and his wife Christine, Jerry A. Araneda and Frances DeBord and her husband Jerry. His 3 beloved sons: Joseph, Allen, Phillip and his wife Jennifer. 2 grandchildren Phillip Jr., and Kamowis along with many nieces, nephews and extended family members who also survive him.


Services for Joseph will be held Sunday November 18th, 2018 at the Filipino American Hall 7566 High School Rd. Bainbridge Island, WA 98110 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. and everyone is welcome. Feel free to bring a salad, side dish or dessert. Interment will be made privately at the request of the family.
