d. July 2, 2014

passed peacefully to be with her Lord Jesus July 2nd., 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She was 81 years of age. She was an amazing Wife, Mother, Grandmother and GREAT-Grandmother who shared her unconditional love and faith with everyone she met. As an artist, musician and lover of nature she graced her surrounding communities, extended family & friends with her generosity and incredible talents. At Christmas she painted windows all across Kitsap and Jefferson Counties for 30 plus years. She played piano everywhere she went, in restaurants, coffee shops and especially at Crista Senior Living for many years bringing JOY and happiness to all who heard her. She painted "Moppets" of all her kids, their friends & others. Each year she donated a design to Children's Hospital for their Christmas Card Benefit. She was one of the founders of "Poulsbo Arts in the Park" offering budding artists and musicians a place to perform and inspire the people of Poulsbo. Josie and Vic loved to promote the arts in this scenic and beautiful town. She was born in Seattle to George and Thelma Steger on Nov. 19th., 1932. She was preceded in death by the love of her life and husband of 56 years, Victor O. Heins "Papa Vic", her beloved grandson Aaron B. Waag, sister Adele Kosciolek, and parents George & Thelma Steger.
