Wendy L. Thomas

passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at Island Health and Rehabilitation on Bainbridge Island, Washington. She was 48 years of age and a resident of Bainbridge Island.Born in Fullerton, California in 1958, Wendy was a devoted mother, loving wife and caring friend to many. Wendy affected many people's lives through her kindness, humor and gentle spirit. Wendy's proudest accomplishments were her daughter, Madison, age 11 and her son, Reilly, age 9.Over the course of her 48 years of life Wendy enjoyed people, animals and her family. As a young girl, Wendy developed a passion for horses, learning to ride Western style on her first horse, a Morgan. In her early teens, she purchased a quarter horse foal, raised it, trained it and rode it in many local competitions.While working in the cosmetology field, she attended the University of Colorado at Denver. She later transferred to and graduated from Golden Gate University in San Francisco with a Bachelor's Degree in Business. She had a successful sales career in the paper products industry and was salesperson of the year while employed by a San Francisco Bay Area company. After the birth of her first child, she enthusiastically embraced her new career as a mother.She is survived by her beloved husband; Richard Thomas, her loving children; Madison and Reilly, her dear parents and parent's in-law; Edgar Randall and Meta Erskine and Robert and Margaret Thomas and her loved siblings Randall and Kyle. She also leaves behind her cherished extended family of nieces, nephews, brother in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles and cousins as well as many friends that she considered family. She also leaves her constant companion/dog Elliot.Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service in Wendy's honor on Saturday, June 9, 2007 at 11 am, at the Walnut Creek Presbyterian Church in Walnut Creek, CA.
