Barbara Weinstein

passed away peacefully on Monday, March 21, 2011 at her daughter Leah's home on Bainbridge Island, Washington.She was born on November 29, 1918 in Chicago, Illinois to Lawrence Wendt and Regina Jarnot Wendt. She was a resident of Hinsdale, Illinois for 42 years before moving in with her daughter and son-in-law, Michael Wittekind.She was a loving mother, daughter and cherished friend and will be dearly missed. Barbara had a special gift for connecting with people. Barbara was a member of the Bainbridge Island Senior Center and the Evergreen Singers. The legacy she leaves is her loving family and friends.She is survived by her children; Leah Wittekind of Bainbridge Island, WA, Dan Williams of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, Fred Williams of Ellijay, Georgia, Larry Williams of La Porte, Indiana and Tom Williams of Killeen, Texas. She also leaves behind many other loving family members and friends who will never forget her. Barbara was preceded in death by her beloved husband Sam E.
