passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2009 at his home on Bainbridge Island, Washington. He was born on February 21, 1909 in Seattle, Washington and was 100 years of age. Bjorn's first job was as a paperboy for the Seattle Times. He started working at the Lake Union Dry-docks in the early 1930's and retired as a supervisor in 1974. He always enjoyed living on the water and from the time he was a youngman he told everyone that he was going to buy a house on Bainbridge Island for his retirement. Bjorn enjoyed fishing and hunting. In his later years his favorite times were being the "camp cook" with his son and grandsons. He is survived by his wife Marvel Loria, son Larry and his wife Mimi, grandsons; Todd (Judy), Larry (Terri), Scott (Jean), great grandchildren; Isaac, Adam (Jo Anna), Melissa (Nicholas), Brittana, Travis and Nicolas. He also leaves behind his stepson's Jim, Dennis, Neal and Noble. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years Elgie, son Robert, brother Otto and his sister Margaret Anderson.Private services will be held.
