Bruce Harry Donald

passed away on Monday, December 17, 2012 at his home on Bainbridge Island, Washington. He was born on March 12, 1947 in West Palm Beach, Florida and was 65 years of age.Bruce lived in Glen Ellyn, Illinois for the past 14 years and recently moved to Bainbridge Island with his family. Bruce worked in print, paper, packaging and promotional sales. He was a member of the Godfathers Club in San Francisco, CA, BNI in Wheaton, IL and the Rotary Club International in Wheaton, IL. "Think with your head, love with your heart, and work with your hands." That was the motto that was lived fervently throughout his life. Whether it be creating one of his new ideas, lending a hand to someone in need, or working to make sure that those he loved were taken care of, he always practiced what he preached.A man with a heart larger than he let on and a spirit softer than he would like to admit, Bruce was the most caring of husbands, joyful of sons and strong fathers. He is survived by his wife Janice Lee Abell-Donald of Glen Ellyn, IL, son Chase Nicholas Donald of Glen Ellyn, IL, mother Joyce Lee Donald of Farmington, New Mexico and his very special angel dog Jersey Noel. Bruce was preceded in death by his father Harry Merchant Donald and sister Diane Martin.Services will be private. Memorial donations can be made to the U.S Marine Corps Toys for Tots.
