Charles W. Jefferson, Jr.
July 9, 1946 - July 6, 2018
Charles has finally found peace. He made the crossing to join the ancestors on July 6th, 2018. One can only imagine the love and laughter at his reunion with his parents, Marjorie and Charles, his brother Upendo, sisters Eileen and Marilyn, daughter Denica, and many dear friends.
Father, husband, son, brother, grandfather, uncle, musician, teacher, creator, . . . Charles lived life with love, passion and compassion. He often wrote that his life was a journey in search of peace. This search was challenged by years of chaos and frustration caused by PCA (Posterior Cortical Atrophy) dementia, which he managed with grace and humor. Charles was an accomplished musician and a gifted teacher. To better understand who he was, please visit the 2015 tribute written by dear friend Paul Campillo:

Charles loved and cared very deeply for children, especially those who are in challenging or difficult circumstances. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a gift to a charity dedicated to helping children.
There will be a private celebration of his life, date and time TBD.
Arrangements are entrusted to Cook Family Funeral Home.
