Christopher Ogden Duffy

December 11, 1929 — September 3, 2022

Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Christopher O Duffy, passed away on September 3, 2022. He was 92 and had lived a very full and productive life.

He is survived by wife, Judy, son Christopher Archer, daughter Suzanne (son Henrik), 4 step children, Brad (Lydia), Stuart (Marie), Kristen, Alyssa (lance) Granddaughters, Kass, Shannon and Katianna, and Great-granddaughter, Isabelle and many nephews and nieces.

Chris was born and raised in WA DC. He graduated from St James School in Maryland and then attended college at Virginia Poly Tech and received a BSC degree in Civil Engineering. Chris then joined the Air Force as a Lieutenant and was able to tour Europe extensively while doing duty. After leaving the Air Force, Chris went to Georgetown Institute of Technology and obtained a law degree and became a patent attorney. He practiced law in Virginia for a short time and then moved to Bainbridge Island and commuted to Seattle working as a sole practitioner for over 40 years.

Chris’ passion was in writing and watching Downton Abbey and Jeopardy. He was an avid Mariner fan and sometimes Seahawk fan.

Chris was a person of devout Christian beliefs and was instrumental in helping others find jobs and mentoring them in finding their way in life. He believed in people and wanted to assist those who needed and wanted help to achieve their dreams and goals.

Needless to say, he was a model of fine morals and someone to whom people could emulate and believe in.

His favorite saying was “You are what you dwell on”.

It’s very sad to have a person of such great character leave this earth, but he is with his Father now and at peace.
