Connie Jean Bickerton
March 28, 1961- October 30, 2019

Connie was born in Seattle on March 28, 1961, and passed away October 30, 2019. She lived on
Bainbridge Island most of her life, graduating from Bainbridge High School in 1979 and Western
Washington University in 1985 with a business degree. After college, she worked for 29 years for MCI/
Verizon Communications.

Nature was Connie’s passion. While a board member of Kitsap Audubon Society she wrote the
following in her profile: “I was raised on Bainbridge Island. I’m a Salish Sea Marine Naturalist, a
member of Kitsap Beach Watchers, a Salmon Docent and a photographer. I love to use my camera to
document wild animals interacting with the environment. I love this place we call home. The beauty of
the land, sea, and the creatures we share it with never cease to inspire and move me.”

Connie leaves her son, Travis Rick, mother Joan Bickerton, brother Ralph (Angie) Bickerton, niece
Elisabeth, nephew John, uncle Morris (JoAnn) Komedal, and cousins Karen, Kristen, and Jennifer. She
was preceded in death by father John Bickerton, Aunt Sylvia Tytler, Uncle George Bickerton, and
cousin Ian.

Remembrances can be made to Orca Network (485 Labella Vista Way, Freeland, WA 98249), or Kitsap
