Craig Edward Hobson

age 76, of Bainbridge Island passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, Washington. Craig was born on April 1, 1938 in Glendale, CA to Francis and Edward Hobson. He graduated from North Hollywood High School in 1956 and earned his Bachelors Degree in Business Management from the University of California Los Angeles (U.C.L.A.) in 1960. He was a proud member of the United States Army having served in the Signal Corps until 1966. Craig spent his career working in real estate, first retiring from Prudential Insurance Company in 1992 and then working in Poulsbo for Coldwell Banker and Windermere. While working on the development of the Turtle Bay Hilton in Hawaii, fate placed him in a seat next to his future wife on a return flight from Los Angeles to Oahu. After a six week courtship, they were married on September 19, 1970 in Lake Forest, Ill. He and his wife Molly made their home in Hawaii and Los Angeles, settling on Bainbridge in 1992. His interests included gardening, skiing, fishing, volunteering and spending time with family. He is survived by; his daughter Jennifer Harrington, Walnut Creek, Calif.; his son Christopher (Jennifer), Los Angeles, Calif.; his son Ned (Dawn),Carpinteria, Calif.; his grandchildren Hanna Harrington, Molly Hobson, Blake Hobson; his sister Audrey Duckworth, Eugene, Ore and many other cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Molly and parents.
