passed away May 16, 2010 on Bainbridge Island. Born in Finland in 1926, she came to Brooklyn after World War II, where she worked as a physical therapist until she married George Hanley.The Hanleys settled in Los Angeles where they raised their children and enjoyed traveling around the world. Upon George's death in 1995, Daisy relocated to Poulsbo. Daisy is survived by her daughter Robin of Bainbridge Island, her son Timothy and daughter-in-law Cindy of Los Angeles. She was sister to Margit and Rangvald who both passed away recently. Known as Mormor to her beloved grandchildren Alex and Amanda, and Farmor to her beloved grandchildren Kelsey and Dean, Daisy will be deeply missed by her grandchildren, nephews, nieces and grand nieces.An avid gardener who loved to prepare family meals, Daisy also enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, knitting, Boxer dogs and bird watching. She had a knack for connecting with many people and will be remembered as a great conversationalist and enthusiastic listener.In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations in Daisy's name for large print books to Kitsap Regional Library Foundation, 1301 Sylvan Way Bremerton, WA 98310
