Dawn Lois Jones

April 15, 1983 — July 10, 2020

Dawn Lois Jones, 37, a proud Port Gamble S'Klallam tribal member of Little Boston WA passed away suddenly after a horrible car accident on July 10th, 2020. Her family is shocked and deeply saddened by her passing.

Dawn was born on April 15th, 1983 just two minutes after her twin brother William "Billy" Jones III to Yvette & William Jones Jr. in Tacoma WA. After graduating from North Kitsap high school in 2001. Dawn was employed at the Port Gamble S'Klallam Tribe as a cultural assistant, Korsmo construction this year and all the other time she exercised her treaty rights on the beach as a manilla killa-natural-born hustler!!

She loved & was very proud of her Native American heritage. She was an outspoken yet kind individual.

Anyone who knew Dawnie girl knew that she was a loyal and reliable friend. She had an immense passion for her culture, and especially in her participation in Tribal Canoe Journeys, and being apart the PGST Canoe family with her son Tyton.

Dawn touched the lives of so many people throughout her life. She was outgoing and a vivacious person, just so lively and spirited. Dawn was just naturally fun to be around, an could animate any group she was a part of. Dawn was full of life, with a very loud and infectious laugh. She was generous, hard-working, and helpful to everyone. Her family and friends will miss her more than words can say.

Dawn was predeceased by her grandmother Lois Jones, aunts April Castle & Cheryl"Queeda" Puser; uncle Ronald Edwards and nephews Angel & Xander Stewart. She is survived by her two children: son, Tyton Purser (17) & daughter, Ava Williams (7); Fiancee Daniel Santos of Suquamish WA; siblings: Skylene George of Suquamish WA; Misty & Ben Stewart of Auburn WA; William Jones III of LittleBoston WA ; Tierrah & Jeremy Klatush of Oakville WA ; Jordan & Joshua Jones of Kingston WA; her parents Billy & Eva Jones WA; grandparents Cyrene "Bun" Tooze, William "Bill" Jones Sr. both of LittleBoston WA, and George "Bud" Edwards of Portland OR; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends near and far.
The family requests that flowers be sent to 31912 LittleBoston Road Kingston WA 98346. Due to COVID-19, there will be details for a celebration of life announced in the days to come.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Cook Family Funeral Home of Bainbridge Island, WA.
