was born on May 19, 1931 in Spokane, Washington. She was the last of seven sisters born to Fred and Florence Stannard.She was the loving wife of Henry Lewis Davis, who survives her and was the mother of four sons (Don, Clint, Kyle and John Davis) and four grandchildren (Rachel, Jessica, Jonathan and Daniel Davis).Dixie was well known for being a mom with a capital "M", and was the surrogate mother of countless family members and friends. Dixie loved her family and music and was involved in the PTA, Cub Scouts, baseball and many other community activities throughout her wonderful life. She will be greatly missed, and her spirit lives on in the many people she has influenced with her wit and charm.A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday May 21, at 1:30 PM at Cook Family Funeral Home on Bainbridge Island. Interment will take place at Tahoma National Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Cook Family Funeral Home.
