Donald Joseph Porter of Bainbridge passed away peacefully Sunday afternoon. Born March 28, 1958 in Bellefonte, PA., he was the son of Joseph McAlevy and Helen Lorraine (Stotler) Porter and was 60 years of age.
Don grew up in Tucson, attending John B. Wright Elementary School, Doolen Junior High School, and Catalina High School. He earned his bachelor's in industrial engineering and master's in systems engineering from the University of Arizona; however, he felt strongly compelled to change career paths and received his law degree from Gonzaga University in 1987. For 20 years he has been a senior deputy prosecutor for King County's civil and criminal divisions, and most memorably worked in the Sexually Violent Predator Unit for 10 years.
Donald is survived by his daughter Grace Porter,his sister Kathleen, and his girlfriend Bhakti.
Services and interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
