Doris Marie Alloin

was born on September 22, 1928, in Vancouver, British Columbia, to Jenny and Gunnar Erickson. She passed away peacefully at home with her family present, on Bainbridge Island, on Tuesday, April 15, 2008.She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Jacques Louis Alloin, son David Alloin and his wife Lisa, grandchildren Deana and Alex, daughter Deborah Vallaincourt and her husband Peter, and her sister June Erickson Plamondon.Doris worked for Sears Roebuck in Seattle in her early years until her children were born. She and her family lived in Burlingame, CA, for 24 years until Jacques retired and they moved to Bainbridge Island. She enjoyed tennis, bowling, reading, gardening and traveled often with Jacques to a number of overseas destinations. She was a volunteer at the Children's Hospital Bargain Boutique for over 20 years, and was also a member of the Swedish-Finn Society.A Celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2008 from 1:00 - 3:00 PM at the Bainbridge Commons in downtown Winslow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Hospice of Kitsap County, P.O. Box 3416, Silverdale, WA 98383.
