Dorothy L. Joyce

passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2010 at Martha and Mary Health Care Services in Poulsbo, Washington. She was born on July 22, 1923 in Tacoma, WA to Joseph and Ella Benson. She was 87 years of age. Dorothy graduated from Everett High School and worked as a bookkeeper and medical secretary. She was also a homemaker. Dorothy was a member of the American Legion Post 86 of Blaine, WA, the VFW of Everett, WA and the Gold Star Mothers. She is survived by her daughter Kathleen A. Reid (Robert) of Poulsbo, WA, son Patrick D. Forcum of Burlington, WA and Timothy W. Forcum. There are seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband E. Lorne Joyce, son Kevin P. Forcum, brothers Philip and Cecil (Red) Benson, her former husband Wayne Forcum and her parents. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff of Martha and Mary Health Care Services and the Hospice of Kitsap County for their excellent care.
