Dr. James Young, Jr

passed away on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at his residence on Bainbridge Island, Washington. He was born on February 12, 1921 and was 91 years of age.He graduated from Roosevelt High School, Seattle, California Institute of Technology and the University of Washington. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served overseas in WWII. He worked for Bell Laboratories, The United Nations and the University of Washington. His hobbies included golf and astronomy. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Young.He is survived by his son Jay Young ( Merrilee), daughter Margaret Hansche ( Brian ) and four grandchildren.Services will be held at 2:00 PM on January 3, 2013 at Rolling Bay Presbyterian Church, Bainbridge Island.Arrangements made through and condolences may be addressed to Cook Family Funeral Home.Please sign the guest book for the family.
