"Ginny" was born January 25, 1922 in Philadelphia PA to George Clarence and Elizabeth J. Landis. She graduated from Ogontz HS and later attended Northwestern University, graduating in 1945 with a degree in Music Education. She initially was a music teacher for several schools in the Philadelphia area and also taught at the Navajo Indian Reservation in Gallup, New Mexico. Later she worked in retail sales for over 30 years in both PA and CA. Ginny moved to Northern CA in 1966 with her two sons and mother and lived there until 1997 upon which she and her husband, Wayne retired to Bainbridge Island, WA.She enjoyed traveling throughout the world having visited six continents, acquiring a deep interest in the various cultures and customs of the many people she met.Ginny was an active member of the Daughters of the American Revolution for over 65 years with a strong interest in Native American tribes.Ginny and Wayne were members of Bethany Lutheran Church since they moved here in 1997.She is survived by her husband, Wayne of Bainbridge Island who she was married to for over 41 years. She is also survived by her two sons David Delgado of Purcellville VA and his wife, Gina and Richard Delgado of San Diego, CA and his wife, Irene. She also had five grandchildren, Richard, Danny, Kristine, Michelle and Danielle who loved her very much.Memorial contributions may be made to Bethany Lutheran Church or the Make a Wish Foundation. A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2008 from 10:00 AM until the funeral service time at 11:00 AM at Bethany Lutheran Church, 7968 Finch Road on Bainbridge Island. A reception will follow the funeral at the church. Interment will take place on Bainbridge.
