Emily Early Kehrberg, 59, of Bainbridge Island, Washington, passed Tuesday, April 30, 2024.
Emily, the daughter of Gloria and Chris Early of Atlanta, Georgia was born on October 8, 1964. She was a proud graduate of Westminster High School and The College of William & Mary in Virginia. She began her career working for several companies in their Customer Service and Operations departments. She most recently was Senior Vice President at Market Force, managing and mentoring employees in five offices across the globe.
Emily and Craig were married in 1994 and moved to Bainbridge Island in 2003, where Emily’s passion focused on the preservation and protection of open space on her adored island. She served on the board and was a dedicated supporter of the Bainbridge Island Land Trust’s mission.
Emily was a true ‘foody’, chef, and connoisseur of Oregon Pinot Noir, known for her amazing New Year’s Eve feast. She loved music, especially alternative and punk bands like The Clash. Her love and knowledge of sports was unprecedented, winning her fantasy football league before fantasy football really was a thing. Emily had a gift for talking to anyone about anything, always wanting to learn more about others than they did about her. Emily befriended everyone and was beloved by all who knew her.
Emily is preceded in death by her father Chris Early and father-in-law William Kehrberg. She is survived and will be sorely missed, by her husband Craig, mother Gloria, many other family and in-laws, and all who had the pleasure to know Emily and call her their friend.
A celebration of life will be held on August 10th at the Bainbridge Island Rowing Center from 3:00 to 6:00. Good friends are welcome. Emily’s favorite colors are orange and green, so wear your brightly colored summer dress and casual shirt and help celebrate.
