George Anderson Fisher

November 29, 1925 — February 10, 2021

George Anderson Fisher, 95, of Poulsbo, WA., passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Wednesday, February 10, 2021. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio he was the son of the late Eleanor (Anderson) and Albert Fisher.

George served his country in the Army Air Corps earning the rank of Staff Sergeant before his discharge. During his service time, he was one of the lucky few to complete his tour of 25 missions as a tail gunner aboard a B-24 Bomber also known as the "Liberator" during WWII.

George would later enjoy a career as an Engineer for Lockheed Martin in the Aerospace Division from which he retired.

Preceded in death by his loving wife of nearly 55 years, Rita, he is survived by his loving daughters; Anne and Alice.

A private family service and interment with Military Honors will be held on Wednesday, February 17, 2021, at 1:00 Pm in the Port Blakely Cemetery 4375 Old Mill Road NE Bainbridge Island, WA 98110.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Cook Family Funeral Home of Bainbridge Island, WA.
