George Miller Scott, 104, a longtime resident of Bainbridge Island, passed away peacefully with his loving children at his side on Friday, October 2, 2020. Born in Seattle, he was the son of Walter Asa and Leonora B. (Miller) Scott.
George attended High School in Seattle and later joined the United States Armed Forces. After his honorable discharge, he would be employed as a Commercial Artist in the Advertising Profession where he drew ads for local newspapers.
George would then meet the love of his life Jean and together they would move to Bainbridge Island and start their life and family together in a little house that George built overlooking the Puget Sound. He would spend 61 years in the family home where he raised his kids and created a lifetime of memories.
Sadly, Jean preceded George in death and he spent several years without her. But he would often talk with his children of his happy memories and also how much the world had changed in 104 years.
George leaves behind his loving family but also many years of great memories and of course his Island famous Volkswagon Bug.
Services and interment will be private.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Cook Family Funeral Home of Bainbridge Island.
