45, of Bainbridge Island, Washington, died suddenly Sunday, November 3, of a pulmonary embolism.George was born in Pottstown, Pennsylvania to Kathryn S. and George Washington Cawman, Jr. on February 3, 1968. He married Susan Greager on September 8, 1998 in Portland, Oregon. They have two beautiful children: Dylan Rose, 13 and Riley Robert, 11.George is a graduate of Southwest High School in Green Bay, Wisconsin, where he excelled as a student and as an athlete. He still holds several school records. He graduated from Dartmouth College in 1990 with a BA. While there, he competed for four years as a high jumper and sprinter. In his early business life, he worked for several advertising agencies including Wieden & Kennedy, Goodby Siverstein & Partners, and Bam. He graduated from Bainbridge Graduate Institute in 2011. Most recently he was working for Exo Labs in Seattle developing the Focus Microscope. George was well liked and respected for his humor and his creative perspective. He loved life and was a devoted husband and father. His whit, his intellect, and his love will be greatly missed.A memorial service is planned for 4 PM Saturday, November 9 at Grace Episcopal Church, 8595 NE Day Road E, Bainbridge Island. In Lieu of flowers the family is requesting support for memorial funds at the Bainbridge Graduate Institute or the Bainbridge Schools Foundation. He is survived by his children, his wife, his parents, his brother Steven S. Cawman, Poughquag, New York, and sister Amy K. Cawman, Fairfield, CT. Please sign the online Guest Book for the family.
