passed away on Sunday, January 26th in Seattle, Washington. He was 56 years of age. He was born in Queens, New York, at St. Albans Naval Hospital on July 18th, 1957. As the oldest child of a Navy family he spent his earlier years living in San Diego, CA, Dutch Harbor, AK, and finally settling on Bainbridge Island, WA.Glen was such a dynamic and incredibly loving husband, father, uncle, brother and grand-father who truly embraced life with a sincere, positive, robust personality and sense of humor. He had the unique ability to impact the lives of most everyone he knew and will be missed greatly.Glen led his life meeting challenges head on, and allowed nothing to stand in his way. Whether it was in his job as Factory Manager for Northern Lights, being a great role model to his children and grandchildren, or on the Lacrosse and Football fields with the team, Glen shared his love for life.Glen greatly enjoyed fishing with his son Josh, and good friends Jack, Tommy and Mike. He also enjoyed working on old cars, reading Clive Cussler novels and playing with his 4 grandchildren. He had a great passion for coaching Lacrosse and Youth Football, and endeavored to teach skills that his players would use in life. He was always so proud of his son Josh and every other player he coached.Glen leaves behind his wife Pamela Fitch, son(s) Joshua and Glen-Michael Jr., step-daughter Victoria and step-son Daniel, as well as his father Ronald, sister(s) Kathy and Diane, brothers Raymond, Paul, Douglas, Chris and 4 grandchildren, along with countless other family and friends. Glen was preceded in death by his mother Irene Fitch and his brother James Fitch.A Memorial Mass will take place on Wednesday, February 5th, 2014 at 10:00am at St. Cecilia's Parish on Bainbridge Island. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to offset medical expenses by mailing or dropping off a check at Columbia Bank, Attn: Stacy Lacy, payable to Pamela Fitch, with Glen Fitch Memorial Fund in the memo line, at 249 Winslow Way E, Bainbridge Island, WA 98110.Please sign the online Guest Book for the family.
