Glenn Allen Ramstead

passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2011 at Island Health and Rehabilitation on Bainbridge Island, Washington. He was born on November 17, 1922 in Middle River, Minnesota to Edward Oliver and Ida Rangchild Ramstead. He was 88 years of age. Glenn retired from the United States Navy and worked as an aircraft/engine mechanic foreman and instructor. He was a WWII Veteran and received several medals during his career. Glenn is survived by his siblings Milton Ellsworth Ramstead of Fargo, North Dakota, Arne Leonard Ramstead, Dolores Elaine Ramstead Lund, James George Ramstead all of Stranquist, Minnesota, also his sister Marie Claire Ramstead Zobrist of Seattle, WA, Edward Olivar Ramstead Jr., John Alden Ramstead both of Seattle, WA, children; Gunnar, Crystal and Chevona Ramstead, grandchildren; Franchessa, Colby and Nan Breur, stepchildren; Kathleen/Mark Muir, Laura/Andy Conner. Jesse/Jennifer Flynn, Amber/Eric Kibby, Candy/Mark Singleton, Lonnie Singleton/Jennifer Cherry, Miranda Singleton/Eric Carter, Randy/Sharon Hyde and Jennifer Hyde. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Milton Ellsworth Ramstead and James George Ramstead. Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Graveside Service with full military honors on Friday, February 18, 2011 at 12:30 pm at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, WA.
