passed away on Monday, January 28, 2007 at Island Health & Rehabilitation on Bainbridge Island, Washington. He was 89 years of age and born on March 23, 1918 in Seattle, Washington to Herold Rogers and Lise Peck. He attended Lincoln High School in Seattle, WA. Harold retired after 33 years of service with the United States Army. He was also a teacher in the audio visual department in the Edmonds School District. He served for 35 years with the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary. Harold was a Commodore for the Kingston Yacht Club and was also a Shriner for 35 years. He also taught boating safety classes.He is survived by his wife, Laura Rogers of Poulsbo, WA and his children; Vicki Grier of Virginia, Joel Rogers of San Francisco, CA, Nanette Pattison of Poulsbo, WA , Don Johnson & Loretta Marshburn of Missouri, Judy Bell of Northport and Patty Smith of Bellingham, WA. There are 13 grandchildren.Services will be private with inurnment at Tahoma National Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Shriners Burn Center.Arrangements entrusted to Cook Family Funeral Home.
