was born in Denver, Colorado, on October 5, 1971, to Allan V. Chapman, III and Janet K. Chapman. She passed away in the early morning of October 31, 2016, at Harrison Hospital in Bremerton. She conquered lung cancer in 2014 but, despite her valiant efforts, succumbed to this most recent attack.Heather lived in Denver, Cincinnati and the Seattle area, but spent the last eight years on Bainbridge Island with her son, George A. Flasher, 14, near her mother, Janet K. Saupp and step-father, William Saupp. Heather graduated from Garfield High School in 1990 and attended North Seattle Central College briefly before she began work in the service industry where she used her people skills. She met George Flasher after a move to Florida, married and moved to Bainbridge Island. They began a business and had a son in January of 2002. After three years back in Florida, Heather divorced and moved back to Bainbridge where she graduated from Olympic College in Medical Billing and Coding and was enrolled to earn an additional degree this September.Heather will be remembered for her sweet and kind disposition and ever-positive attitude. She befriended many down on their luck and expected nothing in return. Her beautiful smile will be missed by many. A "celebration of life" service will be held at a later date. Please direct donations in her memory to PAWS. Please sign the online guest book for the family.
