passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2007 in Poulsbo, Washington, at 94 years of age.She was born Helen Mae Cunningham on May 22, 1913, in Edwardsville, Illinois, to David and Lydia Rohr Cunningham and was the last surviving member of six children. She graduated from the University of Illinois at Champaign with degrees in Social Work and Spanish and lived in Illinois and New York before moving to Seattle, Washington in 1950.Helen had a great love for the visual arts and a true talent herself for drawing and painting. She developed a great appreciation for the work of Northwest artists which she shared with her family.Helen is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Franklin I. Badgley, her dear children; Anne Badgley Walker and her husband Mark of Portland, Oregon, and Jeanne I. Touger and her husband Steve of Lofall, Washington. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Catherine Helen Walker and Wilson Franklin Walker. Her son, Franklin I. Badgley, Jr. preceeded her in death. Helen was a member of the Lake City Presbyterian Church in Seattle. Services will be private. Memorial contributions can be made to The Seattle Art Museum.
