Irma Lichtendahl
Family and friends honor the life of dearly beloved Irma Lichtendahl, who passed away on February 27, 2022.
Irma lived a full life. She was married for 65 years to her husband, Charles. She and Charles loved the mountains of the west and enjoyed many summers together in the land that they loved. Irma loved the wildflowers, the hummingbirds, the sunsets, and taking walks surrounded by nature’s beauty and mountain air.
Irma spent a lifetime caring for others and she is remembered for her unconditional love to all who knew her. Irma, a bookkeeper by training, had an amazing ability and talent to make friends and to stay connected to her extended family and friends by always remembering everyone’s birthdays, anniversaries, and special holidays and by sending personal, beautifully handwritten notes and cards filled with her love.
Irma continues to be an inspiration to all who knew the warmth of her generous heart, ceaseless devotion, and unending love.
Irma, dearly loved as Gram, is survived by her children, Kenneth and Joyce, four grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
A series of celebration of life services are being planned by the family to embrace Irma’s extended family and friends that span the globe.
To honor Irma’s love of nature, children, community, and family, donations in her name may be sent to Islandwood https://www.islandwood.org
Arrangements are entrusted to Cook Family Funeral Home.
