Irvin E. Provasnik, born November 27th 1945, passed away peacefully at home on April 17th 2024, he was originally from St. Louis, Missouri, but moved from St. Louis to the Seattle area in 1989 with his family for their love of the mountains and open water.
Irv spent his career in sales of both automobiles and boats here in the Pacific Northwest. He proudly served his country on the Korean DMZ during the Vietnam War.
Irvin is predeceased by his father, John E. Provasnik and his mother Irene Hagan.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years; Sharon McNamee Rockwell, sons Kevin Provasnik, Gregory Provasnik, Daniel Provasnik, David Provasnik and step daughter, Kathleen (Katie) Rockwell.
He will be returned to the sea at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts be sent in Irv’s honor to Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center Patient Care Fund. These can be made online at www.fredhutch.org/memorial or mailed to Fred Hutch, 1100 Fairview Ave, J5-200, Seattle, WA 98109. As a many decades employee of Fred Hutch as a nurse; both Irv and I felt very strongly about their mission and wish that work to continue.
