Bob attended his first year of secondary education at Xavier High School, and the next three at Elder High School. After graduation from Elder he went on to attend Saint Gregory, and Mount Saint Mary Seminaries. He continued to cherish time spent with his priest friends throughout his life. After leaving the Seminary, Bob enlisted in the Army Air Corps at Patterson Field, Dayton Ohio on June 9, 1942 and spent over 3 years with the 19th Repair Squadron, receiving an Honorable Discharge on October 16, 1945 and earning the rank of Staff Sergeant. After leaving military duty, Bob worked two years with Catholic Charities at Fort Scott Camp, Cincinnati. On February 17, 1947, Bob began a twenty-eight year career with the F.B.I., retiring in 1975. From 1975-1982, he worked as a Security Representative with the Seattle Sonics. After retiring, Bob spent time pursuing two of his favorite past times: fishing and boating. He will be remembered for his affection for baseball, keen wit and sense of humor, extraordinary kindness, great faith and incredible love of family. When asked recently by one of his daughters what he considered his greatest achievement in life, he answered: "Nabbing your mother!" Other loves of Bob's were animals and nature. He routinely hung fuchsia baskets around his homes in Kirkland and Hansville to attract hummingbirds, as well as feeders and baths for other birds. A nature lover, Bob took his children on trips to Mount Rainier and the Cascades, picnics by the river, and fishing in Puget Sound.Bob is survived by his wife of 59 years, Frances, and his six children: Anne, Margaret, Connie (Kelly), Catherine (Slaton), Elizabeth (Weyer) and James.
