Janet Young

87, of Bainbridge Island died on June 26, 2009. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, James Young, son Jay Young (Merrilee Conway), daughter Margaret Hansche (Brian Hansche), and grandchildren Rebecca Encinas (Ben Encinas), Eric Hansche, Ross Young, and Mia Young.Janet's family were early settlers on Bainbridge Island dating back to 1869. Janet was active in the Bainbridge Island Historical Society and Friends of the Library. She was a member of the Rolling Bay Presbyterian Church and Daughters of the Pioneers. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Bainbridge Island Friends of the Library or a favorite organization of the donor.A Memorial Service will be held at the Rolling Bay Presbyterian Church on July 18, 2009 at 3:00 p.m., 11042 Sunrise Dr. NE, Bainbridge Island.
