Jean Celeste Taylor of Port Ludlow, passed away Sunday November 18, 2018 at home with her loving husband at her side. Born in Washington D.C. on February 13, she was the daughter of the late Julius Cesare and Ellen Louise (Kidwell) Marchi.

After attending business school in Washington DC, Jean was employed by the Department of Interior. Subsequently, she was employed as an Executive Secretary in the Computer Sciences Industry in the State of Maryland until transferring to their home office in El Segundo, CA in 1967. It was then, in Redondo Beach that she met and in 1969 married the love of her life by whom she is survived; William A. Taylor. Jean and Bill moved from Rancho Palos Verdes, CA to Port Ludlow in 2001.


Jean enjoyed travelling extensively through Europe with Bill and very close friends. Jean was also very active in the outdoors, enjoying hiking, tennis and pickleball until unfortunately, ALS took control of her muscles.


In addition to her husband, Jean is survived by two sisters, Anita Pendergraph and Barbara Hankel, and numerous other family members.


A graveside service will be held Thursday, January 10th at 1:15pm at Tahoma National Cemetery, Kent, Washington.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the ALS Association, Evergreen Chapter.
