Jeanette Louise Myers

Jeanette passed away peacefully at her home in Port Ludlow with her four children by her side. Jeanette was born in Aberdeen, WA to John Leroy & Josephine Louise Graham. Graduate of Weatherwax High School in 1956. Graduate of Grays Harbor Junior College in 1958. Graduate of Western Washington University in 1960.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband Alexander “Sandy,” her parents Roy & Josephine, her sister Carolyn Dineen and her brother, Gordon Graham. She is survived by her son Alexander “Lex,” daughters Diane Harris (Steve), Cheryl “Cheri” and Deborah (Tim Petersen), grandsons Armor and Archer Petersen, granddog Murphy, and numerous nephews and nieces.

Jeanette taught 2nd Grade in the Bellevue School District before moving in 1962 to the home she and her husband built on Bainbridge Island. She was instrumental in the early years of Bainbridge Cooperative Nursery School and was a founding member of Grace Episcopal Church. She was a longtime resident of Bainbridge Island before she and her husband moved to Port Ludlow. Her proudest achievement was raising her four children.

Jeanette enjoyed many travel adventures with her husband, spending time with family & friends, flower arranging, bird watching, reading mysteries, listening to music, playing board games, and had recently discovered laughing yoga.

She will be remembered for her welcoming smile, her kindness & grace, her open-mindedness, her sense of humor, and her willingness to try new things. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
