John A. Pappas

John A. Pappas of Monroe Wa., passed away January 13, 2019 at Evergreen Hospital in Kirkland after a long illness. Born March 5, 1938, he was the son of Nicholas and Mary (Poole) Pappas and was 80 years of age.

John led a very interesting life in his younger years where he spent some time working within and later driving in Nascar. During his racing career, he spent time in various aspects of the sport from pit crew to a chassis designer and builder, and ultimately a driver. John also wrote a book on Nascar chassis designs.


Later in his life, John would move to Monroe Washington and would settle there working in Apartment Management with his loving wife Micki who preceded him in death.

Services will be private at the families request. Arrangements are entrusted to Cook Family Funeral Home.
