was born June 6, 1922 in New York to John Fliege and Alice (Malone) Fliege, John passed on October 5, 2007 at age of 85.John's father died when he was eight years old leaving his mother to raise him during the hard times of the depression. As a young boy John took odd jobs such as a paper boy and Yankee baseball usher to help support his family.He served in World War II in the Fighting Irish 69 Battalion. After the war he attended Fordham University and received a Bachelor's of Business. In March 1951 John became a Special Agent for the Federal Bureau of Investigation. After a short stint in California, he was transferred to Seattle where he met his wife, Frances Brennan. He retired from the Bureau in December 1977.John was an active member and former president of Rotary, Bainbridge Island Chapter, from 1976 to the present. He was also active in various computer and camera clubs and taught as a part-time instructor at Everett Community College. John loved to travel with his buddies for FBI functions around the country, but he was happiest spending time with his family.John was an intelligent, caring person admired by many friends and family. He was preceded in death by his wife Frances in 1989. John is survived by his three daughters Theresa (Phil), Bainbridge Island, Patty (Chris), Kingston, and Jeanie (Jake), Bremerton. He leaves six wonderful grandchildren, Alison, Alicia, C.J., Laura, Brennan and Evan.Graveside internment services will be held on Wednesday, October 10, 12:00 noon, at Holyrood Cemetery in Shoreline, Washington [Map]. A reception will follow at Ballinger Lake Golf Course, 23000 Lakeview Dr., Mountlake Terrace, from 1:00-2:30 [Map].Arrangements by Cook Family Funeral Home.
