"Jay" died November 30, 2007 on Bainbridge Island, WA - Age 56Life events/schooling/vocation:Born in Brocton, MA June 7, 1951 to Johnston and Priscilla Kingsley. Raised in Hingham, MA until 12 yrs old then moved to Mercer Island, WA. Graduated from Mercer Island high school in 1969 and attended community colleges in Bellevue, Seattle and Auburn. His early adult years included work in construction and auto repair. He last worked as a machinist for the Boeing Company from which he retired in 2001. He was married for five years to Shirley Tracy. Jay was diagnosed with MS in 1985 and moved to Sequim in 2002 to be nearer family. In his retirement years he enjoyed car rides, Ivar's fish n' chips and watching TV.Hobbies/interestsJay was an avid auto enthusiast. He raced motorcycles as a young man. Later he participated in as well as organized many area road rallies. Jay was an active member of the Sports Car Club of America. Until 2001 he was the club's sound technician for races at tracks from Canada to California.SurvivorsSiblings: (his twin sister) Joanie Matter (Kurt) of Kettle Falls, WA, Su Howat (Jeff) of Sequim, WA, Nat Kingsley (Madeline) of Kensington, CA and four nieces and a nephew.
