Joshua James Purser

The family of Joshua James Purser of Little Boston is saddened to announce that he passed away unexpectedly on May 07, 2021, at home.

He was born February 13th, 1984 to Rozanne(Purser) Scheibner and Stacy Stan Callihoo, he was a beloved member of the Port Gamble S’Klallam Tribe.
Joshua was preceded in death by his great grandparents Rose (Wellman), Rudy & Bud Purser, his grandmother Claudette Tom, his uncles Rudy Purser & Skip George.

He is survived by his great auntie Betty George, his grandparents, Marcelene (Purser) & George Sparks. His mom and stepdad Rozanne & Joseph Scheibner & his father Stacy Callihoo. His sisters Krystyn Denhem Purser, Allyssa Purser, Amanda Purser & Summer (DeCoteau) Sanchez. His children Kylia DeCoteau, Parker Prader, Shyla Purser, Milliana Purser, stepsons Daylon Martin, Ryder & Jericho Hansen, his fiance' Sasheen DeCoteau, and many aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews & cousins.

Josh attended North Kitsap Schools. He spent the majority of his life in Little Boston surrounded by his beloved family & friends. He enjoyed sharing his native heritage with anyone that was willing to learn. He loved working the beaches as a commercial harvester, which allowed him to spend most days with his newest lil' beauty, Milliana Rose.
Josh was beloved by anyone who was fortunate enough to get to know him. Most referred to him as "JP" “Joshy” or “Ooh aah”. 

Josh loved to laugh & created many beautiful memories singing, dancing & laughing it up with his family & friends. Josh had a huge heart and to know him was to love him. We are all so grateful for the beautiful memories that we'll all look back on & remember our loving handsome Joshua James Purser.

A memorial service is planned for May 24th, at 1:00 pm at the Little Boston baseball field and he will be laid to rest at the Tribe’s cemetery
