Kathryn Ruth Steele

died unexpectedly in Bainbridge Island, WA on September 6 , 2016.Kathy was born January 17, 1951 in Albuquerque, NM. The family soon relocated to Raton, NM where Kathy spent 10 happy years. The family then moved to Tucson, AZ where Kathy attended Wheeler elementary school, Fickett Jr. H.S, graduating from Palo Verde H.S. She is survived by her daughter Corene (Nate) Hawk, son Sean Steele (Evonne Reinke), granddaughter Olivia Hawk, brothers Steven and Paul (Lisa) Marcek, nephew Alex Marcek, mother Elinor Marcek and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, plus dear friends Sue Brown, Rita Garstad and Bill Olson. Her father, George S. Marcek, predeceased her.Kathy was kind and generous and loved animals especially cats. She almost always had a pussycat living with her.Memorial Service on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at 3:30 PM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Bainbridge Island. There will be a memorial celebrating Kathy's life will be held at a later date in Tucson, AZ.
