Kevin Theodore Jones, also known as KJ, was born on September 9, 1954, to Robert E. and Lillian L. Jones, of Bremerton, WA., He passed away on July 21, 2024, peacefully, surrounded by his family. 

Kevin was a self-employed carver, and an enrolled member of the Port Gamble S’Klallam Tribe in Kingston, WA. He graduated from Neah Bay High School and later moved to Little Boston with his mom, dad, and siblings. 

He loved cheering on his Seahawks, sketching and carving, going to the casino, buying scratch tickets, and cruising the rez. He had a contagious smile, which he was quick to flash at all the pretty women he met. He had a quick wit and a wonderful sense of humor, always making friends and family laugh. He was generous with his time, his carvings, and his talents, often gifting people his handmade treasures. He loved spending time with family, eating good food, and sharing stories. Anyone who knew him knew to keep candy on hand, as he had a very strong sweet tooth. 

Kevin is preceded in death by his dad, Robert E. Jones, mom, Lillian L. Jones, brothers R. Michael Jones, Alan C. Jones, Oliver “OJ” Jones, sister Karen E. Jones, niece Rhonda L Jones and her husband, Lloyd “Sonny” Smith, Jr., nephew James Smith, and great niece Aniya Horton. He is survived by his sister Donna L. Jones and brother-in-law Douglas C. Coleman, nephews R. Mike Jones, Jr. and wife Michelle R. Jones, John D. Jones and wife Toni A. Jones, George T. Jones and partner Julia Garza, R. Brian Perry and partner Alisa Robertiello, Nieces Brenda M. Jones and husband Clint Anderson, Kara L. Horton-Wright and husband Curt Wright, Gina D. Steiner, and husband Tony Steiner, former brother-in-law, Richard "Dick" Perry, and numerous great nieces and nephews. 

The family would like to thank his dear friends, including Ray “Du” Ives, the late Joe Ives, Terry Seachord, Pat Ives, Deb Carpenter, Ben Ives, and his care providers: Dr. Luke McDaniels, Sarah Shaw, Taylor Purser, Molly Knowlton, Jamie Aikman and the entire health care teams of the Port Gamble S’Klallam Health Clinic and Saint Michaels Medical Center.
