passed away on Monday, December 21, 2009 at his home in Poulsbo, Washington. He was born on February 25, 1939 in Manhattan, New York and was 70 years of age. Louis had previously lived in Canada and in Kingston, WA. He graduated from North Kitsap High School in 1958. He later worked for Montreal Insurance for 20 years and the Port Gamble Mill for 15 years. He was a member of the Catholic Church and attended St. Peter and St. Olaf. He is survived by his beloved wife Gisele Maheu of Poulsbo, WA, children Christiane Maheu of Port Hadlock, WA and Robert Maheu (Vicki) of Kingston, WA. He also leaves behind his brother Ron Carlson of Poulsbo, WA, cousin Louise Maheu of Poulsbo, WA, grandchildren; Stephanie Schaff of Seattle, WA, Mathew Schaff stationed in Hawaii, Eliana, Samuel and Danielle Maheu of Kingston, WA, his aunt Rita Maheu White of Montreal and many loving friends. He was preceded in death by his step-dad Glen Carlson and his mother Laurence Carlson. Louis was a very hard worker throughout his life and things needed to be just right. He loved his family much. He was devastated when the Port Gamble Mill closed as it had allowed him to work and release all of the energy he had. He was always ready to help anyone and was very honest. He was stubborn but enjoyed joking allot! Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Recitation of The Rosary starting at 10:30 AM and the Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 28, 2009 at St. Olaf Catholic Church in Poulsbo, WA.
