Lucille Irene Bottoms

d. March 4, 2018

91, beloved "Premiere Homemaker" of Silverdale, Washington, retired librarian from Seattle Public Library, and a resident of Kitsap County since 1980 passed away Sunday March 4, 2018 in Harrison Medical Center, Bremerton.Born in Beloit, Wisconsin, Lucille was the daughter of the late Harrison and Esther (Swanson) Wakeford. After graduating from High School in Beloit, "Lucy" as she was known by many, soon met and married the love of her life, Marshall. In her selfless way, Lucille became a military wife, and will always be remembered by her children for her innate ability to make any house a home. Lucille was happily married to Marshall and supported him until his death in 1973.Sweet as a magnolia but tough as a rosebush, Lucille will also be remembered for her love of Frappuccino coffee - she was well known by several local Baristas - always ensuring her daughter's dogs received their Puppuccinos as well, her always impeccable style, the organized and tidy way she folded her clothes even when traveling, and her love of Salted Caramel fudge. The family is fond of remembering her predictable comment when dining out, "I should have ordered what you're having!"Lucille is survived by her loving daughters Judy Collins, Shireen Kennedy, and Joanne Kagan; granddaughter Ellen Wallace; sister Arlene Blaga of Beloit Wisconsin; and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Saturday March 10, 2018 from 2 to 4 PM at Cook Family Funeral Home 163 Wyatt Way NE Bainbridge Island, WA. The interment will be made with her husband Marshall at the Little Bighorn National Monument in Garryowen, Montana when family scheduling allows. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Lucille's memory be made to the COPD Foundation at www.copdfoundation.org.
