Lyle L. Blackorby

passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at his residence in Poulsbo, Washington. He was born on May 30, 1921 in Flint, Michigan to Roy and Ellen Blackorby.Lyle worked as a salesman for many years in Southern California. He retired with his family to Alderbrook, WA in 1982. In 1996 he married Marilyn Smith Blackorby and they moved to Poulsbo, WA. He was an accomplished golfer, carpenter and enjoyed playing pool and cribbage with his many good friends.Lyle is survived by his wife Marilyn, son Brian (Connie) Blackorby of Spokane, WA and Jeffrey Blackorby of Minneapolis, Minnesota. He also leaves behind five grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his sisters: Evelyn Sackville and Betty Rutgers, also his children: Richard Blackorby and Lynne Blackorby Smith.Lyle was a member of Rolling Bay Presbyterian Church on Bainbridge, WA. Services will be private.
